A Few Words From Our President

Dr. Duc Le

Dear friends and benefactors,

I hope this message find all our Hope families happy and healthy. Best wishes to everyone for the challenges of this past year and onward into 2021. I wish for a year full of success, love and blessings!

2020 will go down in infamy for the current pandemic that continues to overshadow our lives and will likely forever change the world. It has been a difficult year for Hope as we had to suspend all usual activities and also our yearly fundraising gala that we depended so much on to sustain our finances. That said, 2021 brings hope that things will soon return to normal by year end as vaccines are rolled out.

Special thanks to all our volunteers, partners and benefactors who continued to support Hope through these difficult times of present and past. It was through your generous donations and the foresight of our board to maintain reserve funds that we were able to sustain our missions. Despite the challenges, our board have continued to remain active in various ongoing projects in VN such as hospital and rehab facilities extensions, water filtration systems and small bridge constructions in underserved communities. When the pandemic struck our local communities and PPE were in short supply, several board members and volunteers personally delivered about $100,000 worth of donated PPE to local hospital, nursing homes and police/fire departments. This summer, we helped a deaf two-year-old boy in VN received a needed cochlear implants to provide some hope for speech development. Most recently, we deployed several teams of volunteers to various parts of central VN for relief shortly after the historic flood that brought unprecedented devastation to Hue and Quang Binh area. I am proud to say that our teams were some of the first boots on the ground handing out rice and blankets to victims following the recent devastating floods once conditions allowed for safe travels. This would not have been possible without your generous contributions.

On behalf of our board, I would like to wish everyone a great 2021 as we shed the ghosts of 2020. Please keep Hope for Tomorrow in your thoughts, prayers and most importantly in your charitable consideration as we continue to bring hope to the underserved.
