HOUSE OF COMPASSION

The ”Compassion House Project” started by Mr. John Donovan. Mr. Donovan is a Vietnam Navy Veteran who served in the Mekong Delta during the war.

Mr. Donovan returned to the Mekong Delta and helped build 70 new homes for poor farmers earning less than $5 a day. Compassion House Project provides housing and educational assistance in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. Compassion House Project continues with a special focus on upward social mobility.

This is accomplished by supporting families where the parents are committed to keeping their children in school with the intention and hope that the children will go onward to obtain a college education.

Compassion House Project will support 10 families each year with new homes, micro-financing and health care that will ultimately enable them to break the poverty cycle. Compassion House Project is an all-volunteer organization and every penny goes directly to the people in need. A new home and educational support costs as little as $1,500 dollars per family.
